Justin Boyd maintains a civil litigation practice in the areas of construction law, professional liability, premises liability, and insurance defense.
During law school at the University of Miami, Mr. Boyd was a member of the Inter-American Law Review. He participated in the Investors Right’s Clinic, and was also a fellow for the Professional Responsibility and Ethics Program as well as Miami Law’s Street Law Program.
Mr. Boyd served as a Judicial Intern for the Honorable Judge Darrin P. Gayles in the U.S. District Court for Southern District of Florida for three months while in law school. During this time he researched and wrote legal memoranda on unauthorized wire transfers and various employment discrimination claims. He also drafted court orders on civil and criminal issues, such as motions denying habeas corpus, attorney fee disputes, ineffective assistance of counsel, and motions to compel arbitration.
He grew up in Rochester, New York, and later moved to Washington, D.C. to attend Howard University, where he obtained his undergraduate degree.
